Q: Who created the label?
A: Syryn Records is a program created and owned by Girls Rock Santa Barbara, a non-profit organization that empowers girls, women, and gender-expansive individuals through music education, the creative arts, community, and positive mentorship. The work coming out of the label is completely youth-created, from initial brainstorming to final publishing, with the support and encouragement of female-identifying adult mentors when needed. We, the youth running the label, are artists, musicians, dancers, activists, and creative beings of so many unique and equally valid genders, bodies, and personalities. Learn more about our staff!
